Objectives:

Arranging and promoting an ecotourist trail in the Buila-Vânturariţa National Park

Organising three training sessions in the techniques of ecotourism and agro-tourism for the inhabitants of Costeşti

Results:

Arranging a tourist trail in the park:

• Marking 3 sections of the tourist trail in the Park:
• Trail 1 – blue triangle – the sector Bistriţa – Between Rivers
• Trail 3 – yellow triangle – the section Pietreni – Târnicior
• Trail 4 – blue cross – Târnicior Valley – completed
• Making and erecting 10 indicative arrows
• Making and erecting 10 informatie boards (3 of 1,5x1 m, and 7 of 60x70 cm)

Editing two tourist maps of the trail

A promotion campaign of the ecotourist trail:

• editing and printing 200 posters A2 and 2.000 leaflets in English and Romanian
• promoting the trail on our website www.kogayon.ro
• promoting the trail through meetings, press articles, local press articles, TV shows, tourism fairs, workshops etc
• conceiving a tourist program meant to promote the eco-trail Realizarea unor sesiuni de instruire pentru localnicii din Costeşti în domeniul ecoturismului.

Implementing the European Ecologic Network NATURE 2000 on the territory of the National Park Buila-Vânturariţa and elaborating the Management Plan of the Park

Objectives:

The implementation of the European Ecological Network NATURE 2000 in the National Park Buila-Vânturariţa: studies and researches on flora and fauna of the massif, identifying the protected species and the priority habitats, GPS measurements for the delimitation of habitats, realising specialised maps;

The elaboration of the Management Plan of Buila-Vânturariţa National Park

Setting the basic infrastructure of Buila-Vânturariţa National Park: creating and placing at the access points in the park of several informative boards, marking the park’s borders, organising camping spaces, re-marking tourist trails, repairing refuges and observatories, making a tourist map

Cleaning the areas with a high traffic of tourists

A campaign of information and acknowledgement on the status of “National Park”, biodiversity conservation and management of the environment

Objectives:

Providing the basic knowledge to the pupils from the schools in the vicinity on the conservation of biodiversity, throughout lessons and presentation in the nature and by involving them in practical activities.

Transposing the newly acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in drawings and photography, in a contest-exhibition called The Buila-Vânturariţa National Park and the European Ecology Network Nature 2000.
