Access points to the Park
There are 6 access points to Buila-Vânturariţa National Park: 3 from Costeşti village. One on the Bistriţa Valley and two on the Costeşti Valley: Bistriţa, Pietreni-Prislop and Pietreni-Valea Morii. One from Bărbăteşti village and on the Otăsău Valley. One from Cheia village and on the Cheia Valley. One from Băile Olăneşti city, on the Olăneşti Valley.

The first research on the flora of Buila-Vanturarita Massif, were conducted in 1956 by Alexandru Buia and M. Păun, followed by only a few botanists that have also published partial lists of plants to be found in the Massif.

Fauna, as well as flora, is extremely varied. Many of the species in the Buila-Vanturarita Massif are protected by international conventions that Romania has also ratified (the Convention of Berna, Convention of Bonn, Convention of CITES, the Directives on Habitats and Birds).
